Broadcasting & Bank Holiday adventures

I've had an exciting time recently talking to TV about more adventurous programmes involving people with disabilities and the gruelling challenge of trekking through Siberia and the Gobi Desert.

Anyone who knows me understands how I, and my team, are passionate about our television projects; the enthusiasm and authentic challenges in this expedition are guaranteed to make compulsive this space.

Meanwhile our work with disadvantaged ex-soldiers continues; getting them to build their own houses in Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare and Plymouth with the Community Self Build Agency.

The agency is about a group of local people in housing need building their own homes and gaining much more besides. As the concept of community self build becomes more widely known, it is more likely that projects will be initiated by potential self builders, rather than other organisations. Some projects have already been initiated by groups of individuals.

Those without building skills, participate on the basis that they are prepared to make the necessary time commitment and be prepared to learn new skills.

You can find out more about this wonderful organisation at

Bank holiday weekend allowed me a little time off to climb on Tryfan. Three thousand feet of Snowdonian mountain famously recognisable for its two peaks, "Adam & Eve" named because from one of the valleys they look like two people. Wales is a wonderful place to explore with a fascinating history and wonderful people.

I'll keep you updated on all my adventures on the blog and through Twitter @kenhames so please join me there or contact me through the website

Whatever adventures you are planning make them fun, exciting and keep safe.
